His spells are named "Death Scythe", and they can adapt to cut through anything by changing the blades' nature and sharpness. Black Clover: The blades formed from Jack the Ripper's Severing Magic resemble the curved blades of a scythe. Black Butler: Among the supposed members of the Shinigami Dispatch Association, only one has an actual scythe in possession - a rogue shinigami named Undertaker. Aoi House: Once the series gets around to parodying action/horror, Elle Mathers gets a scythe. 07-Ghost: The title characters each carry a BFS (Big Fucking Scythe). Like its cousin the battle axe, don't be surprised if a fictional scythe is several times larger than anything you'd find in the real world. While farming scythes will only have the sharp edge on the inner curve, a war scythe will likely be sharp on both sides. But even keeping the blade perpendicular to the haft has its own benefits, such as being harder for the opponent to predict and building armor-piercing momentum in its swing, with the added bonus of being able to cut an opponent in half once you've impaled them. Scythes have been used as polearms before in real life, though this usually involved straightening the blade into something more like a large Blade on a Stick. It is also likely to mark the special or dangerous enemy, as well as the macabre touch brought on by evoking The Grim Reaper. But in the arms of a skilled fighter-especially one whose social class forbids him from owning conventional weaponry-it's as lethal as any sword or mace. 
Despite its name, the Death Sickle more closely resembles a real-life scythe than a sickle.The scythe is a farming tool whose primary purpose is to mow grass and harvest grain.The weapon's design originates from classic depictions of the Grim Reaper, generally shown wielding a scythe.The Death Sickle's projectile is one of the few player-fired projectiles that consistently travels through blocks.As with all more uncommon enemies, using a Water Candle or Battle Potion increases the chance for Reapers to spawn, resulting in less time (on average) needed to obtain the Death Sickle.It is notably effective against Diabolists, Necromancers, Bone Lees, and even Paladins. It is useful in the Hardmode Dungeon due to its decent knockback and projectiles moving through blocks.Equipping an accessory that causes melee weapons to inflict On Fire!, like the Magma Stone or Fire Gauntlet, makes this lighting strategy much more efficient, due to the additional bright sparks they cause the sickles to produce.The Death Sickle can be used for locating caves due to its projectiles traveling through blocks and emitting dim light.

On the Old-gen console version, Windows Phone version, and Nintendo 3DS version, it is a lot harder to obtain this weapon, due to Reapers being uncommon enemies and having significantly lower drop rates.The fact it can hit large numbers of enemies makes the Death Sickle excellent against crowds of enemies and segmented bosses like The Destroyer.It has somewhat low damage compared to other mid-Hardmode or late-Hardmode weapons, but its projectiles are large and linger in the air for multiple hits that can result in more total damage than other Hardmode weapons.It is a useful weapon behind complete cover due to the fact the projectile goes through all walls regardless of their composition.

The Death Sickle can be considered a direct upgrade to the Ice Sickle, a weapon obtainable earlier in Hardmode with inferior range, lack of autoswing, and projectiles that do not travel through blocks. However, with a high enough melee speed, it may only fire once every other swing. The Death Sickle has no projectile cooldown, firing one every swing. Melee speed bonuses extend its projectile's range. The Death Sickle's projectile can apply melee debuffs, like flasks or Frost armor's Frostbite. 
On PC, Console, Mobile, Old Chinese, tModLoader, and tModLoader Legacy, Reapers only appear after defeating all three mechanical bosses, while on Old-gen console, Windows Phone, and 3DS, they appear after only one mechanical boss has been defeated.
